Anti wrinkle

Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxic protein used to stop the muscle of the face moving so that the overlying skin is smoother. It will stop dynamic lines (lines that appear with facial movement) but will only soften static lines (lines that are always there). Onset is seen within 5 days, and peaks at 14 days. The injection needs to be repeat every 3-5 months.

Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid and injected into the skin to help fill in facial wrinkles, volume, and restore a smoother appearance. Onset is immediate but you may have some bruising and swelling initially. Results will last for 6-24 months. Bio re-modelling hyaluronic acid products are used to help collagen and elastin production to smooth fine lines and improve skin laxity.

Used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, dyschromia (pigmentation) It is a minimally invasive procedure Stimulates tissue regeneration through a process called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) Ideally performed monthly for a minimum of 3 sessions followed by maintenance regimen.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

This treatment uses your own plasma which is rich in platelets to stimulate cell regeneration and improve skin quality. Your blood is taken and separated into red cells and plasma. The PRP portion is used for this procedure. The product used is 100% your own blood by-product When used in conjunction with micro needling can maximise outcomes.

Chemical peel

Used to treat acne, pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles. The chemical peels we offer are light chemical peels known as ‘lunch time peels’ with very minimal downtime. A personalised treatment regimen will be created for you based on your skin concerns and aims of treatment.

Bioremodelling Treatment

This revolutionary ‘beneath the skin ‘treatment uses Hyaluronic acid that has a prolonged stimulating action on collagen, elastin and adipose cells. By stimulating the skin cells it counteracts skin laxity to improve and restore the firmness of the skin. The recommended treatment cycle is 2 initial treatments 4 weeks apart followed by a maintenance schedule approximately every 6 months depending on the individual.

What will we do in the initial consultation?

A thorough history, skin assessment, and treatment planning will be performed at the initial consultation. Safety is such a high priority for Dr Steph and Dr Renae, and upholding safe, efficient and natural-looking doctor administered cosmetic treatments is the aim of our clinic practice. If time permits, we can do a treatment on the day. The $150 for the consultation will be deducted from their first treatment. We will allow 60 minutes for this initial consultation.

What follow up do I need?

Initially every patient will be reviewed at 2 weeks to do clinical photos and top up dosing, if required. This will ensure your treatment goals are met to their full potential. Once you have had the procedure a few times, a review will only be needed if you have concerns or questions.

How does anti-wrinkle injections work?

Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacteria clostridium botulinum. It prevents the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from axon endings at the neuromuscular junction, causing paralysis.

Why do we use anti-wrinkle injections?

To stop the muscle of the face moving so that the overlying skin is smoother. It will stop dynamic lines (lines that appear with facial movement) but will only soften static lines (lines that are always there). Prevention is the key – use anti-wrinkle injection before static lines appear.

What is micro needling used to treat?

We use a TGA approved device that is indicated for the treatment of: Fine lines & wrinkles, Acne scars and Dyschromia: melasma, vitiligo and sun spots. It usually takes 45-60 minutes to perform.

How does micro-needling work?

Micro-needling creates temporary small microscopic channels in your skin. These tiny punctures stimulate tissue regeneration through a process call Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) which visibly improves the appearance of the skin, creating a radiant glow. For collagen induction, It is best to have 3 treatments a month apart, and then maintenance of 3 times a year after that.

What does Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy help with?

  • Sun damaged skin
  • Acne scares
  • Stretch marks
  • Skin texture and tone
  • Hair loss
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dark circles under the eyes
  • Restore skin moisture and glow

3 treatments a month apart will give the best results.

What is Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy and how is it performed?

  • Apply numbing cream to your face 20minutes prior to the procedure (this will be done at the practice by the Doctor)
  • Collect your blood (approximately 11-22ml),
  • Your blood is spun down using a centrifuge to separate out the plasma and platelet portion from the red blood cells.
  • The PRP portion of your blood is then injected back into your skin to stimulate new collagen production, and to re-energise our cells into rejuvenating themselves.

The product injected is 100% your own blood by-product (autologous).

Why don’t you use brand names on your website and on social media?

Doctors and nurses are restricted in our advertising, and are not allowed to use brand names. Once in the consultation we can discuss what brands we use for cosmeceuticals, anti-wrinkle, Filler and micro-needling.

What do I do if I have an emergency or reaction after my treatment?

We recommend you contact the practice on 0740364333 during business hours. If it is a filler emergency after hours, please call the mobile number our aesthetics doctors carry – 0409709384.

If you feel the case is an emergency, please call 000 immediately.
