FAQs

What will we do in the initial consultation?

A thorough history, skin assessment, and treatment planning will be performed at the initial consultation. Safety is such a high priority for Dr Steph and Dr Renae, and upholding safe, efficient and natural-looking doctor administered cosmetic treatments is the aim of our clinic practice. If time permits, we can do a treatment on the day. The $150 for the consultation will be deducted from their first treatment. We will allow 60 minutes for this initial consultation.

What follow up do I need?

Initially every patient will be reviewed at 2 weeks to do clinical photos. This will ensure your treatment goals are met to their full potential. Once you have had the procedure a few times, a review will only be needed if you have concerns or questions.

What is micro needling used to treat?

We use a TGA approved device that is indicated for the treatment of: Fine lines & wrinkles, Acne scars and Dyschromia: melasma, vitiligo and sun spots. It usually takes 45-60 minutes to perform.

How does micro-needling work?

Micro-needling creates temporary small microscopic channels in your skin. These tiny punctures stimulate tissue regeneration through a process call Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) which visibly improves the appearance of the skin, creating a radiant glow. For collagen induction, It is best to have 3 treatments a month apart, and then maintenance of 3 times a year after that.

What does Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy help with?

  • Sun damaged skin
  • Acne scares
  • Stretch marks
  • Skin texture and tone
  • Hair loss
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dark circles under the eyes
  • Restore skin moisture and glow

3 treatments a month apart will give the best results.

What is Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy and how is it performed?

  • Apply numbing cream to your face 20minutes prior to the procedure (this will be done at the practice by the Doctor)
  • Collect your blood (approximately 11-22ml),
  • Your blood is spun down using a centrifuge to separate out the plasma and platelet portion from the red blood cells.
  • The PRP portion of your blood is then injected back into your skin to stimulate new collagen production, and to re-energise our cells into rejuvenating themselves.

The product injected is 100% your own blood by-product (autologous).

Why don’t you use brand names on your website and on social media?

Doctors and nurses are restricted in our advertising by the TGA, and are not allowed to advertise S4 and S8 prescription medications, brand names and cost of these procedure. Once in the consultation we can discuss the procedure and cost freely.

What do I do if I have an emergency or reaction after my treatment?

We recommend you contact the practice on 0740364333 during business hours. After hours, please call the mobile number our aesthetics doctors carry – 0409709384.

If you feel the case is an emergency, please call 000 immediately.

Why are there no prices listed for specific aesthetic treatments on the website?

We understand your interest in knowing the pricing for our aesthetic treatments. However, due to the latest guidelines and regulations set forth by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), we are unable to provide specific pricing details for treatments involving Schedule 4 (S4) prescription medications on our website.

What are Schedule 4 (S4) prescription medications?

Schedule 4 (S4) prescription medications are substances regulated by health authorities due to their potential risks and the need for professional oversight. These include certain medications commonly used in aesthetic procedures to ensure safety and efficacy under the supervision of qualified healthcare providers.

TGA regulations require that pricing information for treatments involving Schedule 4 prescription medications be provided in a controlled environment, such as during a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. This is to ensure that patients receive accurate information tailored to their individual needs and medical history.
